Yea! Kathryn and I are doing our Oral Interpretation speech on a Chinese Proverb that goes something like this:


There once was a non-conforming sparrow. (For our purposes the sparrow is going to be male b/c Kat and I are feminists and we believe males are stupid.) This sparrow decided he would fly North for the winter. (Any female would know that North means cold and South means warm, so this is why we believe the sparrow is male) He started to get really cold so he decided to turn around and fly south. Somewhere over the northern part of the United States our dear sparrow friend got tired so he landed under a tree to rest. He was still freezing so when a cow came over and shit on him, the warming sensation of the shit made him feel great. So great in fact that he started to chirp and sing, which turned out to be his big mistake because a cat heard him. So the cat came over and pulled the sparrow our of the pile of shit and ate him.

So the moral of our story here is that: Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy and not everyone that pulls you from a pile of shit is your friend.




And our teacher was even gonna let us say shit in school!
